Job could be full or part time, with the potential to extend beyond harvest, if amenable to both parties. Duties would include: field (grape) sampling, sample processing and basic juice chemistry. Basic cellar work, including barrel & tank filling, racking and cleaning, additions, sampling, topping, pad filtration, forklift work organizing barrels and pallets, keeping cellar clean, orderly and sanitary at all times. Harvest cellar work including operating and cleaning destemmer/crusher, press, completing punchdowns and pumpovers, sampling/monitoring fermentations, inoculating and making necessary additions.
