Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
•       Monitoring vineyards for phenological stages, pests, diseases, irrigation status, and cultural practices being implemented. Accurately record these observations.
•       Collecting data for estimating crop yields.
•       Create, maintain, and update vineyard maps.
•       Collecting maturity samples and performing maturity evaluations during harvest
•       Processing grape samples for chemistry and ensuring the results are communicated to the proper personnel.
•       Coordinating with in-house laboratories to manage sample work flow
•       Ability to follow Constellation Brands General Safety Guidelines
Qualifications / Skills:
•       Valid Driver’s License and clean DMV record.
•       AA, Bachelors or Masters degree; viticulture coursework preferred. Familiar with grape growing.
•       Ability to do basic math. Must be competent in Excel, Google Earth and Word. Strong aptitude in reading road and vineyard maps.
•       Good verbal and written English communication skills; able to keep neat and accurate records; able to prepare memos and short reports.
Physical Requirements
•       Must be able to spend long periods of time standing, walking over rough or uneven terrain, bending, or crouching in vineyards. Must be able to climb stairs and lift 50 lbs.
•       Must be able to withstand prolonged outdoor exposure.
•       Must be able to work a flexible schedule including overtime.  Work weeks may be 5 to 6 days long during the peak harvest period.
