Job Description

Work includes long hours, often working nights and weekends. All aspects of high-end winemaking will be covered, and the intern will work alongside the winemaker and a small staff.
-       Operating crush equipment (sorting tables, destemmer, press, pumps, etc.)
-       Sorting fruit
-       Filling and emptying barrels 
-       Fermentation management: pump overs and punch downs
-       Basic chemistry as required
-       Cellar and fermentation additions
-       Winery cleaning and sanitation

Job Type Full time temporary internship
Pay Scale DOE
Start Date mid-August
End Date late October
Other Information Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will exhibit enthusiasm for hard work, camaraderie, quality wine, and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in particular.
-       At least 1 harvest’s experience. 2 to 3 preferred.
-       Forklift skills strongly favored
-       Lab skills a plus
-       Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
-       Strong communication/language skills
-       Strong math and organizational skills
-       Great attitude and work ethic
-       Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
-       Ability to work long hours—12+ hours—when work load dictates
-       Ability to work well independently and with a small team
