Vintage Wine Estates is a dynamic, growing organization seeking 2022 Harvest interns to join our team at Kunde Family Winery. Located in the town of Kenwood, Kunde Family Winery produces world class wines from the 1,850-acre estate vineyards in the heart of the Sonoma Valley.

Job Description:
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals with a passion for wine making to join our cellar team this harvest. This is a great opportunity to get hands on experience with all aspects of winemaking from grape to bottle. With over 15 varieties being produced, the right candidate will be exposed to all facets of winemaking.
The harvest position lasts approximately from mid-August through late November with the possibility of extensions depending on work demand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receiving and processing grapes.
Operating all crush equipment.
Press operations.
Pump overs and punch downs.
Yeast inoculations and nutrient additions.
Preparing and filling barrels.
Fermentation monitoring.
With training, forklift operations in the winery and caves.
Working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Winery cleaning and sanitation.
Following and observing safe cellar practices.
Long hours and weekends.
Working as a member of the team and other duties as assigned by winemaking staff.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma.
Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Must be able to walk, stand, climb, and bend repeatedly.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Bilingual in Spanish and English, a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position involves working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, while being prudent to cleaning everything meticulously. Candidates must be able to lift heavy objects (5O+ lbs.), stand, crawl, kneel, and climb for many hours. We are looking for a team player who will maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations, has a strong work ethic, is self-motivated, and is a lover of all things wine.
