Job Summary: We are looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our tight knit production team. This is a hands-on position that benefits from being involved in all aspects of the winemaking process. In the off-season, this position requires initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to be a good teammate on a small team. During harvest, this position will take on more of a leadership role to help manage the harvest team (of interns), fermentations, and facility. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow into higher levels of responsibility within the organization.

General Job Responsibilities:
-Cellar work (Topping, sulfur additions, racking, cleaning barrels, cleaning tanks, cleaning the winery)
-Lab work (Pulling samples, running analysis on FOSS, running free sulfurs)
-Data entry into our tracking software and additional spreadsheets
-Forklifting (Stacking barrels, moving barrels in/out of the cave, loading/unloading trucks with cased goods, etc.)
-Create work orders
-Keep track of cellar/lab supplies, reorder when low

Harvest Related Job Responsibilities:
-Help train and manage interns
-Help manage brix and temp reports, create work orders, and assign tasks
-Help facilitate workflow of cellar (time management of tasks for team, load/unload trucks, move tanks/bins etc.)
-Jump in to do cellar work, additions, or cleaning as needed

Ideal Candidate:
-Professional and a good role model (good attitude, works safely in the cellar, focused, efficient with cellarwork, etc.)
-Both a team player and self-directed
-Ability to think critically, thinks through current actions as well as downstream effects
-Can plan and execute tasks (able to see the bigger picture and end goal, can identify the necessary steps to get there, and jumps in to accomplish)
-Flexible, can change plans and reprioritize
-Ability to manage time and strives for efficiency
-Someone both intellectually interested and passionate about wine
-Willing to learn and build upon previous knowledge and experience
-Commitment to continually improving
-Positive attitude and a sense of humor

Minimum requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
-Experience working in a premium winemaking facility
-Ability to work long hours and weekends when required (mostly during harvest)
-Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and work in difficult conditions including hot/cold environments, wet environments, on slippery surfaces and on ladders and in high places
-Fully competent at all basic cellar tasks(ie topping, racking, sampling etc.)
-Possess a solid understanding of premium winemaking processes and workflow
-Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
-Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and other Microsoft Office/G Suite applications
-Familiarity with Innovint a plus but not required
