IWC is a family run company located in the Central Coast that specializes in providing goods and services to the wine industry at a state-wide scale. In 2012, we started renting portable wine tanks to various local wineries within the central coast. Since then we’ve grown, adding multiple new services for the industry with the most recent being a unique mobile pressing service that’s not currently being offered anywhere else. I handle most of the day-to-day operations here at IWC and am a recent Cal Poly AgBusiness class of ‘20 grad as well. I look forward to having the opportunity to work alongside fellow Mustangs this coming harvest.

This is a unique opportunity for Cal Poly students to gain hands-on experience in the field running a couple mobile presses receiving and pressing grapes for some of the biggest and most notable wineries in the state! It’s a great chance to get out and see all of the major wine regions including Napa, Central Coast, Santa Barbara, and Monterey during their peak harvest season.

We will be working during the night receiving grapes that have been mechanically harvested. Once received, it will be pressed as juice right in the field and shipped off in tankers so that wineries can receive it in the morning. Please note that this is a mobile service so our team could be on the road and staying at various locations for a few days at a time. Food, lodging, and transportation will be accommodated.

Duties will include:
-Transporting Equipment
-Set up at each site
-Tracking and weighing incoming fruit
-Performing pressing cycles
-Tracking juice pumped to tankers
-Ensuring all equipment is running properly
-Cleaning and Breaking down
