Cellar Internship- Opolo Wines

Opolo Vineyards is seeking harvest cellar interns to join our team for the 2022 harvest season. As a harvest cellar intern, you will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of crush activities while learning from a highly motivated and dynamic production team!
DOE
Mid-Late August

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Vineyard sampling
• Running crush equipment
• Sorting fruit
• Barrel work
• Cap management
• Press operations
• Juice/wine transfers
• Additions and inoculations
• Brix, pH, TA measurement of vineyard samples
• Daily monitoring of fermentations (Brix, Temp)
• Assist with draining and pressing
• Equipment sanitization/cleaning
• All other harvest related duties as required
Prior harvest experience is desired but not essential. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, detail driven individuals who possess an aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team. Candidates should have good communication skills, be reliable, punctual, prepared to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, day shift, night shift, and holidays. Student must take off fall quarter for this internship.
