Pay Range:
$15.00-$15.60/hour

Job Description:
JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery is seeking a Scale House Weighmaster for the 2022 harvest, beginning in August and lasting through November. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, self-motivated, hardworking and detail oriented. The Weighmaster will work directly with the Grower Relations and Production team to weigh and process trucks entering and leaving the winery. The Weighmaster is responsible to verify accuracy of all truck loads.
Job Description
- Open Scale House, sign on to computer, make sure system and scale are
- Accurately weigh grape trucks in and out of winery
- Enter grape truck details and weigh tag data in JD Edwards system, checking
- Communicate load information via radio to cellar personnel and winemakers
- Keep grower relations personnel apprised of trucks received and late trucks
- Assist with managing winery logistics and flow of harvest traffic
- Satisfactory and timely attendance
- Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and auditing skills
- Intermediate Excel skills for data entry and reporting purposes
- Some knowledge of wine industry or agriculture is helpful
- Comfortable with learning beginner level of new computer programs
- Possess a positive attitude; strong communication skills, detail-oriented and comfortable working alone as well as communicating with others
- Self-motivated and willingness to reach out when unsure of procedure.
- Flexible and willing to work varying shifts, overtime, and weekend
- COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
