Colangelo & Partners, an integrated marketing communications agency based in Midtown Manhattan and San Francisco, is currently accepting applications for a part time Public Relations intern for immediate hire in our S.F. office. The ideal candidate is highly motivated with excellent writing, organizational and multi-tasking skills, in addition to great attention to detail and proactivity. The Colangelo & Partners internship applicant should be a current junior or senior in college with previous experience in a Public Relations/Communication internship role. A genuine interest in the wine and spirits industry is also a must! You will identify and compile media clips, list of media targets, press kits and mailings, have the opportunity to learn about and potentially pitch stories to the media, and write pitch letters and/or press releases. Our primary goal is to provide a meaningful experience for interns to participate in and contribute to different functions, and learn about the various aspects of public relations and the wine/spirits industry.

Daily Tasks Include:

· Read and identify media hits from clipping services and online resources

· Clip press coverage and assist with compilation of media placement reports

· Assist with preparation of press kits for distribution

· Identify press targets

· Write pitches to be distributed to media direction of Supervisor

· Participate in brainstorms and strategic thinking sessions

· Work with and report directly to account teams
