The Cakebread family, owners of Cakebread Cellars in Rutherford, is among the most creative and successful winery families in California’s famed Napa Valley. Entry level harvest Viticulture position that works under the direction of Director of Vineyard Operations, learning and performing grape sampling and juice analysis and performing various harvest work assignments that result in the production of quality wines at Cakebread Cellars; ensures quality standards and training programs are followed and carried out as directed by Cakebread Cellars’ management. Candidates must have working knowledge and understanding of commonly accepted viticulture practices and operations, working knowledge of data collection and scientific method, and working knowledge of grapevine physiology, ability to identify basic vineyard pests. Internship begins in June and goes through harvest.
