As one of the founding wineries in the Willamette Valley, Ponzi continues the tradition of crafting beautiful wines from some of the most highly esteemed vineyards in the valley. We are currently looking for candidates who aspire to continue this tradition with us.

Ponzi Vineyards is seeking an experienced part-time cellar hand that succeeds in a fast-paced, team environment. An ideal candidate would demonstrate their ability to operate efficiently within Production, possess sound time management skills and able to uphold Ponzi standards for all wine-related work. This is a full time, paid seasonal position for approximately 8 to 10 weeks, starting beginning of September.

As a harvest cellar hand, the candidate would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Receiving fruit and sorting
Racking and transfers of juice and wine
Inoculations/additions to juice and wine
Cap Management of red fermentations
Operating crush equipment and presses
Draining and pressing of tanks, including shoveling pomace
Forklift Operation
Perform Sanitation procedures
Adhere to COVID19 protocols set forth by the state of Oregon and Ponzi Vineyards

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be comfortable working long hours in a very fast–paced environment, up to 6 days a week
Experience with forklift operations a plus
Ideally have valid US or international driver’s license
