Eric and Lisa Jensen purchased 100 acres of the original Booker Brother’s property in 2001 with the intent of growing the best fruit for some of the best wineries in the area. After making wine with Justin Smith (of Saxum) for five years and Stephan Asseo (of L'Aventure Wines) for two years, the Jensen’s decided it was time to create their own expression with Booker Vineyard. In 2005 Eric Jensen made his first vintage of Booker wines.

This harvest will be our 16th anniversary vintage! Over the past couple of years, Eric has expanded the vision of the Estate driven, Rhone based, Booker wines by launching the West Side Paso Robles driven, Bordeaux based, My Favorite Neighbor and Harvey & Harriet brands. This growth has meant an expansion and revamping of our production facility and new state of the art equipment. From dedicated auto-pumps on every fermenter, to facility wide inert gas manifolds, to in-house phenolic analysis, our production techniques are science based and cutting edge.

We are currently looking for a key member to support the winemaking team during 2021 harvest with all aspects of the vinification process. These duties include crushing and processing fruit, equipment sanitation, barrel work such as prepping, filling, and batonnage, pressing and draining of wine, yeast inoculations, transferring wine and barreling down, and use of winery equipment such as pumps and barrel steamers.

The ideal candidate is a hard worker, has a positive attitude, is organized, multi-tasks well, works well with others, and is passionate about wine and wine making. Come join us in making some of the best wines in Paso Robles.

• Four-year University degree in Enology, Viticulture, or other science preferred
• Able and willing to work long hours and weekends
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods on hard surfaces
• Must be 21 years of age


Pay will be dependent upon experience.
