Bedrock Wine Co. specializes in old-vine field blend vineyards and the many different varieties found therein. We showcase varieties and sites throughout the state of California, from the far northern reaches of Mendocino County to Chalone and Cienega Valley, to Amador County and out to the Sonoma Coast. Bedrock makes a diverse range of wines – Zinfandel, Mourvedre, Carignan, Petite Sirah, Semillon, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, and the list goes on...

You'll join the small winery team at our Sonoma winery for the duration of harvest. Based on the current growing season, we anticipate harvest starting the first week of August and stretching through mid-October.

You would be doing pretty much all the same stuff that we do – cleaning bins; processing fruit; punchdowns and pumpovers; additions; drain and presses; barrel prep and steaming; barrel downs; cleaning presses, tanks, fittings, pumps, and anything else under the sun. We make sure interns rotate through jobs to gain confidence and exposure to all the possible tasks of harvest.

You'll get to work with fruit from some of the most beautiful vineyards in the world, and you will be working with a multitude of varieties and styles of wine from some of the best and most historic terroirs across California. You will actually be making the wines, with an understanding of our work in the vineyards and how that translates in the winery. We're looking for someone who is intellectually curious, hard-working, willing to ask questions if you don't know something, open to wide range of music, have a general idea of how machines work. Be prepared to work long-hour weeks in the thick of things. Regardless of your cellar experience, we ask you demonstrate smarts and passion and do not take yourself too seriously. We are a small team and take enormous pride in the wines we make and the vineyards we work with.
Applicants must have reliable transportation to work and housing (we can try to help you with both, but we cannot provide either!)

We always have plenty of snacks around and provide dinner if we're running long in the day.
