Joel Gott Wines is hiring a Harvest Viticulture Technician to assist in monitoring maturity in our vineyards beginning in August 2021. The North Coast position is based in St. Helena and includes vineyards in Lake, Mendocino, Sonoma, Napa, and Lodi Counties. We are seeking a motivated team member who is looking to gain further knowledge in the wine industry with a hands-on experience alongside a fun and hardworking team!

• Collect vineyard samples and viticulture data
• Collect and report crop estimates
• Assess maturity and vine development and record field observations
• Manage personal sampling schedule and coordinate daily route to ensure timely results
• Assist lab team in processing juice samples for analysis and tasting
• Data entry of sample results and field notes
• Assist grower relations team with compiling and filing seasonal viticulture notes

• Viticulture coursework or previous harvest experience
• Hard working, ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to clearly and accurately document information
• Ability to work long hours, weekends
• Extensive walking and ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to outside elements and physical work (lifting, bending, climbing, squatting)
• Valid CA driver’s license and clean DMV report required
