Buccella is a premium boutique winery that sources fruit from AVA’s across the Napa valley as well as unique sites in Sonoma, Amador County and Contra Costa County. Our skews include two cabernets, merlot, a rhone style blend and sauvignon blanc.

Working at Buccella is different from other internships in the valley because you will be the only intern and will be working closely with the winemaker and assistant winemaker. We have designed this position so that you are able to see all aspects of what goes into the harvesting process. Not only will you get exposure in the cellar from fruit processing to wine work but you will also perform basic lab duties and help to sample our many vineyard sites. Despite how hectic harvest can be, we make sure to balance having fun with hard work.

1. Fermentation Management (punch downs, pump overs and fermentation monitoring)
2. Wine and juice transfers
3. Barrel work
4. Tasting with the Winemaker and Assistant Winemaker
5. Forklift operations
6. Crush Operations (pressing and assisting on the sorting line)
7. Cellar sanitation
8. Topping and sulfuring
9. Packaging and labelling work
