Korbel Champagne Cellars, located in the picturesque Russian River Valley, has been a long-standing California Champagne establishment in Sonoma County since 1882.
Our winery is seeking a full-time Viticulturalist/Grower Relations Representative to work closely with our Vineyards department. This role will support Vineyard Operations by collecting viticulture data for Korbel owned and leased vineyards throughout Sonoma County and as assigned at the Delta Vineyard. This position includes responsibility for collecting vineyard technical data, employee time keeping, vineyard receipts and various viticulture projects. Additionally, this role will work closely with the Director of Winemaking and Vineyard Department management team to monitor and measure the availability, quality and cost of the grapes used to make our champagnes and wines. This position is responsible for Korbel’s relations with outside growers and buyers of Korbel grown grapes.
Bachelor of Science in Enology or Viticulture Management or related field, with two years of vineyard or related management experience is preferred. An additional five years of appropriate work experience and/or additional academic training that demonstrates competency and currency in the specialized areas may be considered in lieu of a degree. As an incumbent, participation in ongoing education including technical coursework in enology and viticultural practices is expected.
