JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of Quality Assurance Supervisor, the QA Packaging Engineer Intern is based at our Ripon, CA facility. The Quality Assurance Packaging Intern will aid with successful completion new and improved packaging material qualification test runs. This candidate will also be working with packaging material suppliers and supplier technical teams to help collect meaningful data from trial runs and analyze data using Microsoft Excel to help facilitate timely decisions from such trials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This intern will help transition existing training records, maintained on hard copies, into SharePoint and help build a training matrix into SharePoint
The goal is to create a training program and validate trainings with proficiency testing at completion of trainings. This will require building proficiency testing matrix and testing criteria in SharePoint
Intern will help with projects regarding packaging material performance validation
Intern will help measure and monitor production line sanitation effectiveness at various production lines

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a college student, Junior Level in coursework, or above
Engineering (Packaging, Materials, Industrial) or Science majors preferred
Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Ability to collect meaningful data from packaging trial runs
Ability to input data into MS Excel spreadsheet and create various charts to demonstrate trends of performance variables
Ability to write summary reports of various packaging trials
Ability to use visual aids such as PowerPoint to present trial results
Must be able to commit to a minimum of 10 weeks of full-time work (12 weeks preferred)
Must be able to pass a background check, post offer physical and drug screen
Support and model all company procedures and policies
Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills with attention to detail
Provide good verbal and written communications to all levels of management, both internally and externally
Prioritize while able to adapt to changing priorities
Work independently within set guidelines
Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, work effectively in team/crew environment, adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Working environment has exposure to both indoors and outdoors and related warehouse/production equipment and associated noise levels
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in a laboratory environment
Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
