CAFES Advising Art Gallery

Fostering Connectedness and Integration for our students, leading to stronger student satisfaction, academic success, and retention.   (Farrell et al.)

Last year we invited CAFES(the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences) students as well as CAFES Minors to submit their artwork in an Exhibit titled Beautiful Season, and we selected a number of them to be displayed in building 74M-A.  It was such a hit that we are continuing the art exhibit into the 2023-2024 academic year!

This year we are thrilled to have more student artists from various CAFES Majors and Minors. The Gallery invites all students and staff to visit and view pieces of art during our Advising Drop-in weekly hours. Mondays-Thursdays 9-2pm, and Fridays 9-12noon.

Here, we are engaging our students in a unique way, allowing them to make beneficial connections to other peers and staff that share similar hidden talents.  Since the pandemic, we don't take these unique connections for granted and greatly look forward to meeting more students that otherwise might not visit the Advising Center or foster this unique on-campus connection.

If you are a CAFES student (major or minor) that would like to submit artwork for the  Spring '24 quarter, then please email krbender@calpoly.edu and include photos of your work.

Come by CAFES Advising (building 74M-A) to view the rest of the art exhibit.  We have so many talented students in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences!
