Harvest Intern - Pierce Ranch Vineyards

We are now seeking a harvest intern to help with the 2017 crush. This is a seasonal position that will be available from now to the end of November.

Position requirements:
•       Strong communication skills and the ability to learn quickly
•       Ability to maintain a good attitude, even after long hours
•       Ability to work long and variable hours
•       General knowledge of the winemaking process from vineyard to winery
•       Ability to work quickly and safely around chemicals and heavy equipment
•       Ability to operate a forklift safely 
•       A detail-oriented mindset and good record-keeping skills
•       Familiarity with hose lineups/pumps
•       Ability to lift 50 pounds
•       Reliable transportation

Responsibilities:
•       Assisting with cleaning and sanitation of winery and equipment
•       Harvesting, sorting, and processing fruit
•       Additions and blending trials
•       Barreling work (i.e., topping, cleaning barrels, etc.)
•       Pulling samples and lab analysis for monitoring wine
•       Keeping detailed records
•       Maintaining variable hours and to work long shifts as needed
