Lion Farms is the farming division of the Lion Raisin Company which was stablished in 1903. We specialize in mechanically harvested DOV raisin production in Madera and Fresno Counties using Horizontal Overhead trellis and V-Trellis growing systems. We are seeking a Vineyard Scout for one of our locations in West Madera County. This location is consists of 3000 acres of vineyard and 400 acres of Alfalfa Hay.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to those listed below:

Growing Season Duties Include
• Soil Sampling
• Tissue sampling
• Insect Trap Monitoring
• Disease and Pest Monitoring
• Vineyard crew supervision
• Cluster Counts and crop estimating
• Record Keeping and Data Entry
• BRIX Testing
• Greenhouse Supervision
• Propagation Supervision


Minimum Requirements
• A great attitude.
• Ability to work independently and alone for multiple consecutive hours
• During harvest a 6 day work week is expected in addition to extended hours, varying shifts, and weekends.
• Attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Some command of Spanish preferred
• Job is physically demanding with frequent walking, standing for long periods of time, conducting repetitive tasks and requires the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• PCA License preferred but not necessary
• Basic understanding of chemical application practices.
