Title:
Harvest Intern
Type:
Seasonal P/T
Employer:
Seven Oxen Estate Wines
Employment Location:
Paso Robles
Company Description:
Seven Oxen Estate Wines is a premium, boutique winery in Paso Robles that produces about 1000 cases of Zinfandel, Tannat and Rhone-style wines each year. We started our winey in 2012, and our sales are primarily direct-to-consumer with a small amount of wine that we make available for certain restaurants and other smaller venues. We pay extreme attention to detail during production in order to produce high quality wines, which is our sole focus.
All of our fruit comes from our 26 acre estate vineyard on the west side of Paso Robles, in the Willow Creek and Templeton Gap AVA.
We make 6 to 8 different wines each year with the following varietals: Petite Sirah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Tannat and Zinfandel
We are looking for one half time paid harvest interns for the 2022 harvest, with work beginning in the end of August and continuing until the end of October. Work hours will mostly be in the morning (8am-12pm) with some flexibility.
Pay Range:
$16-$18/h
Anticipated Start Date:
August 29th
Anticipated End Date:
October 28th
Job Description:
The position itself is very versatile, and you will be part of our small young team touching all the steps of the winemaking process: grape sampling in the vineyard, cleaning/sanitation, fruit processing, punch downs/pump overs, juice/wine sampling and analysis, fermentation management, barrel work...
You will be directly working with Bastien Leduc, the winemaker at Seven Oxen Estate Wines
