Sojourn Cellars is seeking a full-time seasonal harvest intern to join the production team for the upcoming harvest. The intern will gain valuable experience working with a small team and get a first-hand view of artisan winemaking, both in the vineyard and at the winery.

Work will be performed at the winery in Santa Rosa, CA and at various vineyard sites around Sonoma and Napa Counties, as well as at our offices in Sonoma, CA. Ideal candidates will be hard-working, detail oriented and bring a positive attitude. Applicants should be passionate about wine and have a sincere interest in high quality production.

Due to the nature of harvest, applicants must have a flexible schedule in which the 2023 vintage is the priority. This position is expected to start around July/August and go through October. It will be full-time, with a varied work schedule throughout harvest. One can expect to work early mornings, late evenings, long hours, overtime, weekends, and some holidays.

The harvest intern will perform all aspects of harvest activities; these include but are not limited to:
-scouting, sampling and analyzing vineyards
-cleaning and sanitizing
-receiving and sorting fruit
-fermentation and cap management
-inoculations/additions
-barreling down
-data entry
-some fruit/canopy management

Requirements/qualifications:
-Previous harvest experience is preferred.
-Applicants will need to have a reliable vehicle that can be driven out to and around vineyards (mileage will be reimbursed).
-This is a physically demanding position and requires a candidate to be able to lift and carry up to and sometimes more than 50lbs, climb stairs/ladders, work and balance at heights, and adapt to changing conditions.
-Basic math skills, reading, writing, and communicating in English are required.
-Good taste in wine, coffee and food is an added bonus.
