Tasting Room Attendant

Job description
We are a small, family winery that is looking for someone to offer a warm welcome, our personal story and a memorable experience for every guest that walks through the door.
A Tasting Room Attendant is responsible for pouring wine and promoting sales as well as educating guests on the winemaking process and the unique terroir of this coastal viticulture region.

REQUIREMENTS
· Applicant must be at least 21 and possess basic wine knowledge
· Hospitality and winery experience is required; social media and/or event planning experience is a plus.
· Has a passion for wine, and can deliver personable, knowledgeable, and professional service
· Has excellent communication skills, is detail oriented, and proficient with iPad usage and POS software
· Able to remain calm and collected while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
· Able to lift at least 40 lbs. and stand for long periods of time (6-8 hours)
· A team player that takes initiative to help keep the tasting room and other areas clean and stocked

This position is scheduled 3-5 days a week, weekends required
·Flexibility to work some holidays and future occasional events
We are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter.

COMPENSATION
Starting at $16 - 18 DOE + Tips and Club Commissions (Tips may add $10+/hr. on average)
