Job Description:
Vinovate Custom Wine Services is seeking interns to join our winemaking team for the 2023 harvest. Vinovate is a high-end small-lot custom crush winery that will produce 25,000 cases for some of the best brands in the Willamette Valley. Interns will work in a brand-new gravity flow winery which will process mostly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay but will also have the opportunity to work with Gamay Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, as well as smaller amounts of other fun varietals from our diverse group of clients. Still and sparkling winemaking will both be done at this facility.
This is a seasonal position and paid internship that will start in late-August and last until early-November. We offer competitive compensation, harvest meals, wine, inclusivity, and lots of fun. Ideal candidates will be energetic, dependable, passionate about making world class wines, and will have worked at least one or more harvests; but those who have not worked a harvest are still encouraged to apply.
Job duties will include grape receiving, sorting, crushing, pressing, rackings, pomace-transfers, juice/must additions, inoculations, punchdowns, barrel prep/filling, winery sanitation, lab work, vineyard sampling, bottling, and other general winery operations. We are a small crew so everyone does everything from the grape to the bottle as a team.
Candidates must be flexible to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
Qualified candidates are requested to submit a cover letter and resume.
