Marine Layer Wines is located right off of the square in downtown Healdsburg and is focused on crafting premium, distinctive and balanced wines that are representative of their origin. The heart of our winemaking lies with Sonoma Coast Chardonnay and Pinot noir from hand selected sites throughout the area in addition to a range of varietals from Vermentino to Cabernet Franc. We at Marine Layer are an extremely passionate, tightly-knit group of individuals who are continuously looking to hone our skills through experimentation and exposure to fun and interesting wines.

Job Description:
During this harvest internship you will be exposed to the all the different grape varieties and treatments they receive for the Marine Layer Wines. Through the fact that we are a small but mighty team, you will be exposed to all aspects of the harvest process and get to work a variety of tasks throughout the season.
The individual who fills this position will be someone who is detail-oriented and efficient in the work-place, someone who enjoys physical work over extended hours, works well within a small team environment and communicates well with others, can easily follow verbal instructions as well as written work-orders, and has a desire to learn and leave a lasting mark on a vintage.
This position will require the ability to work flexible hours (indoors and outdoors) as well as being open to working in different realms of the cellar throughout the internship.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performing all aspects of cellar and harvest work, including: sanitation, fruit processing, fermentation management, barrel-downs, rackings and consolidations, etc;
Following instructions of full-time members and completing tasks thoroughly and in a timely manner
Qualifications:
A desire to learn through hands-on interaction;
Cellar experience or basic understanding of winemaking process
A passion for wine;
An individual who is highly motivated and detail oriented;
An ability to multitask and have flexibility towards changing priorities
