Crocker & Starr has been committed to making wine with the same morals from the start, always prioritizing quality, sustainability and innovation while constantly learning. We were an early adopter of organic farming practices and are now transitioning towards fully regenerative farming, while maintaining a sustainable production facility. We produce approximately 4,500 cases annually with a strong focus on Bordeaux varieties grown on our estate vineyard. We have been producing wine since 1997 and in our state-of-the-art winery since 2016.

Crocker & Starr Winery in St. Helena, Napa Valley is seeking one highly motivated winemaking intern to join our team for the upcoming 2023 harvest. This position requires someone creative, adaptable and energetic to jump into our small and tight knit winemaking team. You can expect to learn about all sides of harvest time, from our viticultural practices & sampling in our 85-acre estate vineyard to crushing fruit and following fermentations all the way to barrel, alongside our winemaker. We are committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of wine industry and agronomy professionals, so while previous experience isn't required, a strong work ethic and sense of curiosity is certainly encouraged. If you are interested in learning all aspects of winemaking from vineyard to blending, this is the ideal harvest internship for you.
Job Responsibilities:
• Fruit sampling, crop estimations, pest scouting, receiving and processing grapes, fermentation tracking, punch downs, additions, inoculations, barrel maintenance & filling, sanitation, sample tracking & analysis, tasting & blending

You have:
• A positive attitude, sense of humor, attention to detail, love of music and coffee
• A passion for making and learning about world class wines
• Someone with previous harvest experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work long hours and ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• All candidates must be able to currently work in the US legally
