Opolo Vineyards is seeking harvest cellar interns to join our team for the 2023 harvest season. As a harvest cellar intern, you will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of crush activities while learning from a highly motivated and dynamic production team!
Pay Range:
$17+ DOE

Job Description:
Duties include but are not limited to:
● Vineyard sampling
● Running crush equipment
● Sorting fruit
● Barrel work
● Cap management
● Press operations
● Juice/wine transfers
● Additions and inoculations
● Brix, pH, TA measurement of vineyard samples
● Daily monitoring of fermentations (Brix, Temp)
● Assist with draining and pressing
● Equipment sanitization/cleaning
● All other harvest related duties as required
Other Information:
Prior harvest experience is desired but not essential. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, detail driven individuals who possess an aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team. Candidates should have good communication skills, be reliable, punctual, prepared to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, day shift, night shift, and holidays. Students must take off fall quarter to be eligible for the harvest internship position at Opolo.
All candidates will need to be fit and capable of working long hours, lift weights up to 50lbs, and endure extended periods of time walking, standing, and climbing ladders. All safety protocols must be adhered to while employed by Opolo Vineyards. The period of employment will likely extend from late July through to the beginning of November. Candidate must have reliable means of transportation and a clean driving record.
