Parrish Family Vineyard is looking for an enthusiastic team member to join a dynamic and growing family-run winery on Adelaida Road.

We are currently seeking a friendly, positive, and professional individual to join our team as a Tasting Room Lead. As a Tasting Room Lead, you will have a great opportunity of sharing not only about the wines, but also about the PFV story to create a welcoming and impressive experience for guests.
$21-$27 per hour

The role of the Tasting Room Lead requires a professional, friendly, detail-oriented individual with a collaborative spirit. The Tasting Room Lead serves as a direct aid to the Tasting Room Manager and serves as a direct contact in manager’s absence.

Overview of Duties for Parrish Tasting Room Lead:

Exceptional Hospitality and Sales
Serve guests and educate about the wine, family history, winery, winemaking, as well as answering visitors’ questions
Deliver wine club member experiences
Available to work evenings, weekends, events and some holidays
Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of the winery and wines
Provide general tourist information including the local area, wineries, restaurants, ect.
Effectively suggest and sell wine to customers in the tasting room environment
Accomplish wine club sales and wine club sign ups
Accurately handle routine purchase transactions using a POS system and account of daily sale processes
Must be able to ascend and descend stairs and ladders to assist in event set up and inventory management
Maintain Upkeep of the Tasting Room – supplies, maintenance, and cleaning
See, smell, and sample the wine ensuring quality and checking for faults
Assist guests by carrying out purchases as necessary
Table management including prep and clean up of table
Wash and polish tasting room glassware
Assist with receiving and restocking of wine and/or merchandise
Keep tasting room clean and in good, orderly condition
Conduct guided tours, or welcome guests as a host/hostess when needed
Perform other duties as assigned by manager

21+ years of age

Ability to lift and carry wine and other event-related items (e.g. tables, chairs, decorations, equipment, etc.) from one location to another, including up and down stairs and between indoor and outdoor locations
Expected Work Environment:

The tasting room is a non-smoking work environment. Employees working in the tasting room are asked to not smoke during a work day and be free from any aroma that may be associated with smoking. No heavily scented perfumes, hand lotions, or hair products are allowed as they can interfere with the tasting of wines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee usually works in the tasting room with moderate noise levels, high foot traffic, food, wine and business machines.
