Company Description:
ASV Wines, part of the Sunview Vineyards family of companies, operates two winery locations in McFarland and San Martin, CA. We are currently looking for winemaking interns for both locations for the 2024 harvest season.
Pay Range:
$18-$22/hr DOE

Job Description:
Winemaking interns will take part in preharvest vineyard sampling and grape maturity tracking including laboratory testing of Brix, TA, & pH. Interns will be involved in daily fermentation tracking and tastings during harvest. Interns will assist winemakers in conducting tastings, work order writing, sample blending, and trial preparation. Interns will assist the lab in tank/barrel sampling, juice/wine analysis, and solution/sample prep. Interns may assist the cellar in additions, inoculations, barrel filling, and equipment cleaning.
Other Information:
Qualifications: Must be 21 years or older. Working towards a degree with an interest in science or recently graduated. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and work overtime (including one weekend day) during peak harvest period. Willingness and ability to follow all Company, Safety, and Lab policies and procedures. Good written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel a plus. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. On-the-job training will be provided.
