Job Description:
Position Overview
We seek a part-time Tasting Room Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality and wine and wants to create memorable experiences for our guests. As the face of Croma Vera, you will play a key role in educating visitors about Croma Vera’s wines and history while providing exceptional customer service.
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet each guest warmly and promptly
- Lead guests through wine tasting experiences
- Create a memorable, personalized experience for guests
- Be knowledgeable about and introduce guests to our wines, winery story, winemaking, and vineyards
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Actively present the benefits of the wine club and sell wine
- Present a professional, positive demeanor to customers
- Operate a point-of-sale system, prepare and fulfill orders
- Participate in and help coordinate special events
- Sustain a clean environment for our guests
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Be engaged and active in the local wine industry community
- Understanding of WISE Triple Score sales and service is a plus
Compensation
- $22 per hour

- Club sign-up and sales bonuses
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 2+ years of previous experience in the wine industry or hospitality
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for wine
- Competency with POS systems and general Internet navigation
- Availability to work weekends, special events, and holidays
- Availability to work 16-32 hours per week
- Responsible beverage service (RBS) certification
- Must be able to lift and carry weights of up to 40 pounds
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
