Paul Hobbs Wines, a grower, and producer of luxury Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay, seeks passionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our cellars during the 2024 harvest. Dedication and passion for wine quality, attention to detail, and a great attitude are paramount. We are looking for hardworking and team-oriented individuals who want to be a part of and help foster a great working environment.

You will work with fruit from exceptional vineyards, appellations, and historical sites throughout Sonoma County and Napa Valley. In doing so, you will gain exposure to our process and our ideology of minimally invasive winemaking techniques that allow each wine to express its vineyard origins with finesse, complexity, and authenticity.

You work alongside our experienced cellar team and be involved in all aspects of cellar operations during harvest, which includes, but are not limited to:
• Processing and sorting fruit.
• Cap manipulations (pump-overs/punch downs).
• Tank and barrel additions.
• Draining tanks, operating white and red presses.
• Barrel preparation & filling.
• Fermentation monitoring.
• Lots of cleaning.

Qualifications & Specific Skills:
• A passion and desire to learn about wine production.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work while bending, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, or kneeling for 2 to 3 hours continuously and up to 12 hours per day.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• May require the ability to learn forklift operation.
• Willingness to work long hours, nightshift, and weekends.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical.

Housing is provided on a first-come basis.
Transportation is not provided, but we do have bicycles for local use.
Wineries are located between 1.5-2.7 miles from company housing.

The internship is generally August-November, and specific start and finish dates are based on the needs of the harvest.
