We were an early adopter of organic farming practices and are transitioning towards regenerative farming, while maintaining a sustainable wine cellar. We focus on Bordeaux varieties grown on our estate vineyard.

Job Description:
Crocker & Starr Winery in St. Helena, Napa Valley is seeking two motivated winemaking interns to join our team for the upcoming 2024 harvest. This position requires someone creative, adaptable and energetic to join our small and tight-knit winemaking team. You will be exposed to all sides of harvest, from our viticultural practices, crop estimations & sampling in our 85-acre estate vineyard to crushing fruit and following fermentations all the way to barrel alongside our winemaker. We are committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of wine industry and agronomy professionals, so while previous experience isn't required, a strong work ethic and sense of curiosity is certainly encouraged. Coffee and lunch are provided every day of processing and pressing. If you are interested in learning all aspects of winemaking from vineyard to blending, this is the ideal harvest internship for you.
Job Responsibilities:
• Fruit sampling, crop estimations, pest scouting, juice sample analysis
• Receiving and processing grapes
• Fermentation tracking & management, punch downs, additions, inoculations, barrel maintenance & filling
• Winery and equipment sanitation
• Tasting and blending with winemaking team

• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work long hours and ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• All candidates must be able to currently work in the US legally
