A luxury winery in Oregon’s Rogue Valley is in search of two seasonal cellars hands for the upcoming 2024 harvest. We are committed to the production of quality wine using minimal handling at all stages of the process to show the distinct terroir of our place. We specialize in expressive, vineyard select Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Gamay, as well as traditional method sparkling wines, sourced from our 50-acre high elevation estate. Job Description:
This is a temporary position expected to run from mid-August through mid-November. Prior winery experience preferred. Job assignments will vary and depend on experience. Employees should expect to work an average of 50-60 hours per week, and wages are competitive with industry averages based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cleaning and sanitizing winery equipment and tanks
• Processing and sorting grapes
• Punching down and pumping over fermenting lots
• Making additions to juice and wine
• Transferring and racking juice and wine
• Managing barrels, including cleaning, filling, stirring, and topping
• Measuring and tracking fermentation data
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as required
Other Information:
This is an exciting opportunity to work directly alongside our Winemaking team, including Cal Poly Alumni, with some fun perks:
• Snacks and daily crew lunch cooked on site by Chef Charlie
• Overtime hours
• Learn how to make wine while being a vital part of the entire process, with an emphasis on maintaining an educational and collaborative work environment
