Company Description:
Buccella Winery is a small ultra-premium winery located in Napa, California looking for interns to join the small production team for the 2024 harvest.

Job Description:
As an intern at Buccella Winery you will be an integral part of a tight-knit group working side by side with the winemaking team. This is a hands-on position that will allow the intern to participate in all aspects of the winemaking process including vineyard, cellar, and lab work. If you are passionate about wine or curious about winemaking and don't mind getting dirty, we'll train you in the fundamentals.

Duties and Responsibilities can include but not limited to:
• Harvest Preparation
• Vineyard sampling and monitoring
• Cleaning and sanitizing winery equipment
• Grape processing and sorting
• Inoculations
• Juice and wine additions
• Pumpovers and cap management
• Draining and digging out tanks
• Pressing
• Lab Work
• Barrel downs
• Bottling and packaging
• Tastings

Qualifications:
• Buccella is unable to host/sponsor J-1 applicants.
• A consistently positive attitude, willingness to learn new things, and a great sense of humor.
• Previous winery experience is not required but welcomed; all interns will be trained in our standard operating procedures.
• A passion for wine and the desire to have a career in the wine industry or to further wine knowledge.
• Ability and willingness to potentially work long hours 6-7 days a week and varied schedules depending on harvest.
• Possess strong verbal and written English skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and climb, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in a work environment with loud noises, wet surfaces, and in proximity of mechanical equipment.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver license, and be able to legally work in the United States.
