Phase 2 Cellars is the Central Coast’s leading custom crush facility of premium and ultra-premium wines. Home to numerous clients, both small and large, we offer an unparalleled opportunity to experience a myriad of winemaking styles and practices. Interns will work closely with high quality Edna Valley Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, an extensive Rose program as well as acclaimed Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Albarino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petite Sirah and many other varietals from Monterey, Paso Robles, and Santa Barbara County.
Pay Range:
$19/hr.

Job Description:
We offer hands-on, practical winemaker teaching and training coupled with classroom style learning; we take great pride in not only making great wines, but in making great winemakers! Interns and employees rotate jobs regularly, amassing a solid understanding of all aspects of winemaking and cellar work. We welcome detail-oriented team players to apply now for the 2024 harvest.
Main Duties include, but are not limited to:
Crush-pad operations (grape receival, press operation)
Fermentation management (pump-overs and punch-downs)
Barrel work (topping, filling, racking, cleaning, etc)
Sanitation
Additions Wine/juice movements
Forklift (training provided)
Other Information:
The ideal candidate should posses:
Strong work ethic
The ability to work as a team member or individually
Unending willingness to learn Strong written and verbal communication Attention to detail, accuracy and organization
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Walk, kneel, bend and stand continuously for 8 or more hours a day
Climb stairs
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
Work in both cool cellar temperatures and warm outdoor temperatures/conditions
Work overtime, including weekends
