Kynsi Winery is seeking a dynamic and professional Tasting Room Host to be part of our wonderful team. A Tasting Room Host is responsible for greeting guests at the host stand, reservation check-in and seating, and taking over-the-phone reservations.

We are a small, family winery looking for someone to offer a warm welcome, share our personal story, and provide a memorable experience for every guest who walks through the door. This is a great entry position for someone looking to gain experience in hospitality and the wine industry. This is not a server or managerial role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcoming Guests: Greet visitors warmly upon arrival.
Registering Guests: Check guests in for their tastings, provide menus, and handle any necessary paperwork or digital entry.
Making Reservations: Manage reservations for tastings, and events, both in person and over the phone or email.
Answering Phones and Returning Calls and Emails: Manage incoming calls, return voicemails, and respond to emails promptly and professionally.
Answering Questions: Respond to guest inquiries regarding wines, the winemaking process, and the vineyard.
Providing Information: Offer information about the winery, its history, the wines available, and the overall visitor experience.
Providing Recommendations: Suggest local restaurants, popular attractions, and additional activities available in the area.
Processing Transactions: Handle sales transactions for tastings, wine purchases, and merchandise when a server is not available.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the reception area, tasting room, bathrooms, and other visitor spaces are clean and well-organized, bussing tables as needed.
Stocking Supplies: Keep track of and replenish brochures, wine lists, merchandise, and other materials needed for guests.
REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must be at least 20 years old.
Host experience is preferred; basic wine knowledge is a plus.
Has a passion for wine and can deliver personable, knowledgeable, and professional service; has a good understanding of the winery's offerings and the winemaking process.
Enthusiastic with excellent communication skills; always maintains a positive and friendly demeanor and can communicate clearly and effectively with guests and staff.
Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, including answering phone calls and managing guest arrivals.
A team player who helps keep the tasting room and other areas clean and stocked.
Able to lift at least 40 lbs. and stand for long periods (6-8 hours)
This is a part-time, weekends required (Saturday & Sunday) position.

ยท Flexibility to work most holidays and future occasional events.
We are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter.

COMPENSATION

Starting at $16 + Tip out (Tips may add $5+/hr. on average)
