The Job : This internship offers a dynamic work environment, with varying tasks and challenges each day. Our services and technology provide clients with a method to continuously monitor their vines from bud break to harvest. The Vineyard Technicians assist with the maintenance of our sap flow systems and the timely collection of data. The work will challenge you to think critically and adapt to problem-solving technical device issues in the field, while also engaging in hands-on work outdoors. You will feel rewarded learning valuable skills, contributing to sustainable vineyard practices, and gaining a unique perspective on the wine industry.

This is a vineyard internship, so you'll be spending your days outdoors in all kinds of weather. You'll need to be comfortable driving and carrying heavy materials around remote vineyard sites. The work we do is quite specialized, so there will be a lot to learn! We'll provide a supportive learning environment with detailed guidelines and training to help you succeed. You will be working independently the majority of the time so the ability to perform autonomously is required.

This position provides a great opportunity to gain experience and familiarity with different facets of the wine industry. Our intern alumni have gone on to do many great things at prominent wineries and vineyards around the world.

Key qualities to be successful in this position: honesty, clear communication, strong attention to detail, and the aptitude to adapt.

Dates : Approximate 7 months (late March/April-October). Dates can be adjusted if you have a harvest internship later in the summer.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 40 hours/week, infrequent overtime - Flexible hours

Job responsibilities include:
- Vineyard site visits for sensor installation/uninstallation, maintenance and repairs
- Basic problem solving of electrical equipment
- Daily record keeping and data entry
- Frequent status updates to your supervisor

Requirements:
- Must provide your own transportation, you will be reimbursed for mileage
- Must live in or near the Napa area
- We do not have the ability to sponsor for this position, you must be authorized to work in the U.S.
