Job Description:
• Perform all job duties safely and in accordance with company health and safety protocols
• Routine analysis of grapes, juice and wine by wet chemistry and autoanalyzers according to SOP and good laboratory practices
• Daily set up of laboratory equipment including calibrations and verification checks
• Prepare required reagents and support maintenance of lab chemical inventory
• Collect samples from various vessels including but not limited to tanks, barrels, bins and trucks
• Process and test vineyard and/or truck grape samples for maturity tracking
• Monitor quality control during bottling as needed
• Participate in sanitation verification activities
• Accurate data entry into written and digital record keeping systems
• Consistent punctuality and adherence to standard work schedule
• Maintain a clean, orderly workplace
Other Information:
We are seeking a hard-working, organized individual for our lab position to collect samples and perform routine analyses of grapes, juice, and wine. All training will be provided.
The ideal candidate should possess:
High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
Strong work ethic.
Unending willingness to learn.
Desire to work in a production setting.
The ability to work in team and individual settings.
Prior laboratory experience, education or professional.
Strong written and verbal communication.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Walk, kneel, bend, and stand continuously for 8 or more hours a day.
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks
Work in both indoor and outdoor conditions, in all climates when appropriate.
Work overtime, including weekends.
