Submission #3660

Late Summer/Harvest Intern
Seasonal F/T
Shake Ridge Ranch
Sutter Creek, CA
Shake Ridge Ranch is a beautiful, family owned and operated vineyard outside of Sutter Creek, CA. Led by esteemed viticulturist Ann Kraemer, we strive to be responsible stewards of the land with our farming practices, create a positive work environment and always choose quality over quantity.
$20-$22/hour plus free housing
Mid-August
End of October
We operate Shake Ridge with as small a team as possible, so you will get a very comprehensive work experience. Any task that needs to get done on the vineyard, you'll get to be a part of.

This includes (but isn't limited to):
- Crop estimation and final crop adjustment
- Vineyard monitoring
- Bird netting – application and removal
- Harvest maturity sampling and lab analysis including brix and pH
- Harvest – tractor driving, leafing, forklift and hauling small lots to wineries
- Crop and canopy management
- Irrigation

This is a hands-on position, requiring long periods of physical work outside, each day.
Occasionally working events hosted by the vineyard.
As mentioned above, we provide housing during the duration of your work experience at Shake Ridge. It is in a shared house with one other intern and the assistant manager. During harvest time, we also provide 3 "harvest dinners" a week.
