Work directly under the winemaking team performing all tasks related to harvest, while furthering one’s understanding of wine production. This position is a hybrid role of roughly 40% lab, 40% cellar, 20% vineyard work
JOB DUTIES AND REPSONIBILITIES:
Lab analysis on Admeo Y15 autoanalyzer
Lab bench trials
QC and maintenance of lab equipment
Maturity sampling
Fermentation monitoring
Data entry (Vintrace)
Grape receiving, sorting and processing
Press operation
Forklift driving
Juice and wine rackings and transfers
Inoculations and additions
Cleaning and sanitation of all winery equipment
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to legally work in the US
Effective communication skills
Proficient reading, writing and math skills
Good manual dexterity
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in various temperatures
Required to follow all safety protocol

Round Pond Estate in Rutherford is looking for an Enology intern to join our 2025 harvest team! If working on a small team and being exposed to all facets of harvest sounds exciting, this could be the internship for you. Running an auto analyzer, bench trials, grape sampling in the vineyard, processing fruit, additions, press operation and forklifting are just a few activities that the enology intern would be involved in. Attention to detail, passion for making world class wines, eager to learn, and a positive attitude are all attributes that we are looking for. Round Pond is seeking candidates with some previous wine lab experience or relevant coursework.
