Job Description:
Early Mountain is seeking winemaking interns for the 2025 harvest, with internships running from August through late October or early November (season dependent).
Job Responsibilities:
• Fruit processing: intake, sorting, destemming, crushing, and press operation
• Cleaning and sanitation of the cellar and equipment
• Fermentation monitoring
• Pumpover, punchdowns, rackings, and barrel downs
• Assisting in bottling operations
• Performing other cellar duties as needed
Qualifications:
• Previous harvest experience or related education in viticulture/enology
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting 50 lbs. regularly
• Willingness to work long hours as needed, including weekends during peak times
• Understanding of general winemaking practices
• Forklift operation experience preferred
• A positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
• Reliable transportation
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
Compensation:
This is a paid hourly position, with eligibility for overtime pay.
