Our 40-acre estate features a diverse selection of Rhône, Bordeaux, and Portuguese grape varieties. The position will provide experience and opportunities to learn in all areas of harvest from vineyard sampling, to processing, to lab and sensory analysis.

Job Posting: Harvest Intern

Location: Midpoint/Radial Winery

--Position Overview: We are a small, dynamic team looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join us for the upcoming harvest season. As a Harvest Intern, you will gain invaluable experience in both vineyard and cellar work. This is an opportunity to learn the great winemaking techniques in a small and collaborative environment where every team member plays an essential role. The days can be long and overtime/weekend work may be required, but they are fun and action packed. This internship is all encompassing, and the Midpoint Cellar is a great place to get hands-on experience in all areas of wine production.

--Key Responsibilities:
-Vineyard Work: Begin the season by familiarizing yourself with the vineyards, assisting with various tasks such as fruit sampling and basic vineyard maintenance.
-Cellar Work: Cellar and sorting line preparation. Winemaking tasks, including managing fermentation and performing basic lab analysis.
-Forklift Operation: You will be trained to drive a forklift to move grapes and supplies as needed during the harvest.
-Sorting and fruit processing: A significant part of your role will involve sorting grapes, and fruit analysis. You will also learn how to maintain, troubleshoot and run processing equipment.
-Fermentation Management: Provide hands-on support with fermentation and closely monitor the process to ensure quality control. This will include tasks such as sensory analysis and Brix/Temp assessment.
-Additional Tasks: There will be a mix of other duties related to harvest activities. Such tasks will include lots and lots of cleaning, organizing, and helping wherever needed.

--Qualifications:
-Passion for wine and winemaking.
-Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
-Ability to lift and move heavy items and equipment.
-Excitement to get wet and dirty in the name of making great wine!
-Willingness to work longer days and the occasional weekend shift.
-Willingness to take on a variety of tasks and work alongside a small, dedicated team.
-Forklift experience is a plus but not required (training will be provided).
-Basic knowledge of wine production is a plus but not required.
