Le Vigne winery is a mid-sized, family-owned winery in the Paso Robles region producing quality wines that express the terroir of our estate vineyards. Varieties grown across the two local, estate vineyards include Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, Sangiovese, Nero D’Avola, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Primitivo, Malbec and several more. The small, on-site winemaking team also produces wine for several custom crush clients. The diverse projects provide an opportunity to learn a variety of skills in the wine industry.
Pay Range:
$19 to $21 per hour

Job Description:
Le Vigne Winery is seeking a Full-Time Winemaking Intern for the 2025 harvest season. The position is expected to start in August and end in December, with at least one weekend day required. We can offer some flexibility in start time and scheduled days, to work around a minimal school schedule. We are looking for a person interested in the winemaking industry who wants to learn, is energetic, can work in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the winemaking process.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Winemaking Intern will be responsible for assisting the production team in completing the following tasks:
•Sample and perform chemical analyses of grapes, juice and wine using laboratory instruments, including an Admeo Y15
•Perform data entry
•Complete daily lab start-up and shut down following standard procedures and protocols
•Perform cellar tasks including grape receiving, crushing, punchdowns and pumpovers, inoculations and chemical additions, pressing, wine movements and barrel filling.
•Prepare and participate in blend evaluations, tasting panels and sensory projects
•Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
•Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
•Ability to climb stairs
•Ability to stand and walk for long hours
•Ability to work both inside and outside in varying weather conditions
