Join our production lab this harvest season and gain hands-on experience in organic, sustainable viticulture. We manage over 1,400 acres of certified organic vineyards, and our operations are proudly SIP Certified (Sustainability in Practice).

We're looking a motivated individual to support our lab in performing must and ferment sampling, lab analysis, and data collection during the 2025 harvest.

Responsibilities include:

Perform daily brix and temperature monitoring on fermenting tanks
Pull daily samples for lab analysis
Sample incoming grape trucks
Process and analyze vineyard grape samples for ripeness
Responsible for all daily analysis on juice, must, and wine samples. Including: Brix, pH, TA, VA, alcohol, residual sugars, free and total sulfur, malic acid, YAN, and various other analyses
Pull bulk wine samples for shipping, receiving and bottling operations
Properly maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
Maintain an organized and clean working environment
Responsible for bottling and canning line quality control; both wine and package integrity
Legibly track, record, and enter data into Excel, TankNET, and Vintrace
Manage the order of laboratory chemicals and supplies
Other duties as assigned by the Winemaking Team




Qualifications:

Previous winery experience is desired but not required.
Degree in or currently enrolled in Enology, Viticulture, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related discipline
English comprehension and communication skills essential. Spanish fluency a plus
Strong skills in math and science, with keen attention to detail and a history of accurate data reporting
Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel, Word and MS365 suite of applications
Ability to communicate well with others and work effectively both individually and as a team with demonstrated reliability and punctuality
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow.
Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn
Harvest hours will be between 40 and 50 hours a week, 6 day work weeks.
