ASV Wines is an organic-certified, sustainable, and food safety–certified winery located in the semi-rural community of San Martin, just 20 minutes south of San Jose. We process grapes from Monterey County, San Luis Obispo County, and other Coastal and Valley growing regions.
ASV Wines produces and bottles wines for our own nationally distributed brands and operates as a large-scale winery, with fermentation lots ranging from 1,000 to 20,000 gallons. Job Description:
Harvest Intern
ASV Wines | August–November (Seasonal)
ASV Wines is seeking a motivated Harvest Winemaking & Laboratory Intern to join our team for the upcoming harvest season. This seasonal internship runs from August through November and is designed for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience at a medium sized winery.
This role offers a well-rounded harvest experience, with time in all departments of the winery. Interns will work closely with the winemaking and lab teams, gaining practical skills while contributing directly to harvest activities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Learn & Do
• Gain hands-on exposure to core winemaking and winery operations
• Collect juice, must, and wine samples throughout harvest
• Perform chemical analysis on juices, musts, and wines
• Monitor fermentations through lab analysis and cellar observations
• Assist with fermentation management
• Create, review, and verify work orders
• Support vineyard sampling and grape maturity analysis
• Enter and manage analytical data in winery databases
