Phase 2 Cellars is the Central Coast’s leading custom crush facility of premium and ultra-premium wines. Home to numerous clients, both small and large, we offer an unparalleled opportunity to experience a myriad of winemaking styles and practices. Seasonal team members will work closely with high quality Edna Valley Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, an extensive Rosé program as well as acclaimed Sauvignon Blanc, Albarino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petite Sirah and many other varietals from Monterey, Paso Robles, and Santa Barbara County.
We are seeking a hard-working, organized individual for our lab position to collect samples and perform routine analyses of grapes, juice, and wine. All training will be provided.
Pay Range:
$19/hour

Job Description:
Responsibilities include:
➢Perform all job duties safely and in accordance with company health and safety protocols in both team and individual settings
➢Routine analysis of grapes, juice and wine by wet chemistry and autoanalyzers according to SOP and good laboratory practices
➢Daily set up of laboratory equipment including calibrations and verification checks
➢Prepare required reagents and contribute to lab chemical inventory maintenance
➢Collect samples from various vessels including but not limited to tanks, barrels, and bins
➢Process and test vineyard and/or truck grape samples for maturity tracking
➢Monitor quality control during bottling as needed
➢Participate in sanitation verification activities
➢Accurate data entry into written and digital record keeping systems
➢Consistent punctuality and adherence to standard work schedule
➢Maintain a clean, orderly workplace

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
➢Walk, kneel, bend, and stand continuously for 8 or more hours a day
➢Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
➢Climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks
➢Work in both indoor and outdoor conditions, in all climates when appropriate
➢Work overtime, including weekends, when scheduled
