Job Description:
Bedrock Wine Co. is hiring for 2026 cellar interns! Our winery is based in Sonoma, CA and are we are committed to protecting and restoring California's historic vineyards. We make a number of different wines in a number of different ways, but our winemaking philosophies all share a commitment to best showcasing the amazing terroirs we get to work with. Along with historic Zinfandel-dominant field blends, we work with Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, and Bordeaux varieties among many others. We cater our farming practices to the realities of each of our unique growing regions, but are aways pushing towards resilience and sustainability. Last year we transitioned our home ranch to be regenerative organically certified (ROC).
We aim to arm you with a broad understanding of how our work in the vineyards translates in the winery into the finished product. We cultivate an intellectually curious and open atmosphere at Bedrock which we extend to the internship experience. We work closely with one another and value collaboration, open conversation, a drive to learn, experimentation, and having fun.
Our cellar interns work directly with the full-time Bedrock cellar team in all facets of harvest work including: operating different kinds of pumps, running presses, cap management, wine transfers, fermentation monitoring, foot treading, operating our crush line, barrel work, and more. With all the different styles of wine that we make there is never a dull moment, and oodles of learning opportunities. We’re looking for candidates who are hungry for knowledge, lovers of wine, collaborative, and hard-working. Forklift experience is not required but is a plus.
Candidates must have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lift and carry 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Candidates must have reliable transportation and housing.
The position will begin at the start of August 2025 and our harvest typically extends through mid-October. Please send us your CV and a cover letter (we value a thoughtful cover letter!).
