Peter Michael Winery is a small, family-owned, ultra-premium winery located north of Calistoga. We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Harvest Cellar Intern to join our winemaking team for the 2026 vintage. This is a hands-on, immersive role working closely with the winemaking team across all aspects of production. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience with multiple varietals, and exposure to high-end winemaking and vineyards.
Pay Range:
23.00-25.00

Job Description:
This is a full-time, temporary position spanning from mid-August through mid-November.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will perform all aspects of cellar work throughout all phases of vinification including but not limited to:
• Receiving, sorting and processing grapes.
• Red fermentation management including pump-overs, punch-downs, and délestage.
• Tank and barrel work.
• Fermentation monitoring, sampling, and exposure to laboratory procedures.
• Cleaning and sanitizing all winery equipment.
• Following and observing all winery safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
• Strong interest in ultra-premium winemaking and enthusiasm for hands-on learning.
• Knowledge of winery equipment, techniques, and processes a plus; previous winery experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, climb, stoop and kneel, and regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
