Company Description:
We operate an 88-acre vineyard, growing certified Biodynamic grapes for our estate winery, as well as several other buyers throughout the valley. We make approx 6,000 cases each year. We use gentle production methods in our “no-frills” winery and believe strongly in native fermentations to allow the fullest expression of our site.
Pay Range:
$15/hr

Job Description:
Our ideal candidate will have winery harvest experience and an understanding of the wine fermentation process, be a great self-starter and quick learner in a fast-paced small team environment. Attention to detail and a go-with-the-flow attitude, as well as strong communication and organizational skills are a must!
Extra special brownie points for those who love dancing, disco balls, friendship, petting sheep, cleaning presses and blind wine tasting.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- General sanitation of winery – harvest equipment and barrels
- Weighing, processing & sorting of estate grown fruit
- Fermentation cap management and daily data tracking
- Basic lab work – Brix, temp, pH, TA
- Barrel cleaning & filling
- Press operation
- Vineyard sampling and maturation tracking
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and be on feet for 8+ hours/day
** Forklift experience and previous cellar/harvest experience a plus!!
Other Information:
- Position begins early September and runs through mid November (depending on the growing season)
- Flexibility depending on flow of harvest and availability to work weekends required
- Lunches provided during the busy harvest weeks
- Disco Ball on the crush pad to invigorate our weary souls
- Pay rate: DOE
